First up, those Heroes at the Criterion Collection have brought us an ultra-rare film noir that's never been released on video before. 1947's RIDE THE PINK HORSE (@ BLU SALE) stars Robert Montgomery (who also directed) as a stranger who arrives in a tiny Mexico town seeking revenge on the man who murdered his best friend. It's a strange film, more about atmosphere than plot, sometimes very hallucinatory, and all anchored by an amusingly gruff performance by Montgomery. Don't miss it.

Then, UK label Arrow Films has finally started putting out titles here in the states, and their debut is the notorious 1970 film MARK OF THE DEVIL (@ BLU SALE), with Udo Keir and Herbert Lom as witch-hunters who finally have to face the consequences of their torturous ways. One of the most famously nasty movies ever made, finally available in a gorgeous blu-ray with tons of extras.

Careful with that trailer...maybe NSFW.

As for the rest, don't forget to check out the following: Arrow also has a lovely blu of Brian De Palma's VERTIGO homage OBSESSION (@ BLU SALE), and Criterion also brings us Francois Truffaut's touching drama THE SOFT SKIN (@ BLU SALE). Ridley Scott's biblical epic EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS (BLU 3D). Gorgeously animated feature SONG OF THE SEA (@ BLU SALE), from the makers of SECRET OF KELLS. The original Brando biker classic THE WILD ONE (@ BLU SALE) lands on blu-ray. Chris Rock's latest directorial effort TOP FIVE (BLU). Brazilian drama THE WAY HE LOOKS (@ BLU SALE). Catherine Deneuve stars in an adaptation of the Marquis de Sade's "Justine and Juliette" in VICE & VIRTUE (@ BLU SALE). There are also blu-ray reissues of HESTER STREET (@ BLU SALE) and AGUIRRE, THE WRATH OF GOD (@ BLU SALE). And for the kids there's the new remake of ANNIE (BLU) as well as THE PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR (BLU 3D).
