You'll definitely want to pick up THEY CAME TOGETHER (BLU), the newest comedy from David Wain and Michael Showalter, founding members of Stella and The State, and the makers of the classic WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER. It stars Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler in a hilarious parody of the romantic comedy genre. This thing is basically wall-to-wall jokes, sort of an AIRPLANE! for rom-coms, it's packed with great cameos, and it's one of the most quotable movies of the year. "You can say that again!" (trust us).

On the other end of the spectrum is NIGHT MOVES (@ BLU SALE), the latest film from Kelly Reichardt, who also made WENDY & LUCY and MEEK'S CUTOFF. This film centers on a pair of young, idealistic environmentalists (Jesse Eisenberg and Dakota Fanning) who turn to eco-terrorism in order to advance their cause. Of course, they get way more than they bargained for, and what started out as a politically-charged docudrama suddenly becomes a noir-ish thriller with grave consequences. Probably Reichardt's most timely and accessible movie.

As for the rest, don't forget to check out the following: There's FOR NO GOOD REASON (@ BLU SALE), a documentary about legendary illustrator Ralph Steadman. Disney's new nature documentary BEARS (BLU)...not sure what that's about. For anime lovers there's HAL: THE MOVIE (@ BLU SALE). Kevin Costner tries to save the Cleveland Browns in DRAFT DAY (BLU). This week is a huge one for horror fans, with new blu-rays of FIRESTARTER (@ BLU SALE) with little Drew Barrymore, Wes Craven's THE PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS (@ BLU SALE), and the 1979 version of DRACULA, starring Frank Langella as the titular bloodsucker and Sir Laurence Olivier as his nemesis Van Helsing. Also, two Alejandro Jodorowsky masterpieces are back in print on Blu-ray, EL TOPO (@ BLU SALE) and THE HOLY MOUNTAIN (@ BLU SALE). See? We told you it was a short week.
