This is definitely our favorite New Release of the week. Edgar Wright (with Nick Frost and Simon Pegg, of course) finishes off the already famous "Cornetto Trilogy" with this hilarious comedy/adventure about five old high-school friends who reunite as adults in their hometown to complete a legendary pub crawl they left unfinished in youth. To spoil what happens next would be a crime, so maybe you shouldn't watch the trailer below, but in any case you should make sure you check out one of the best movies of the year.

We've also got this past summer's indie sex comedy THE TO DO LIST. Aubrey Plaza from TV's PARKS AND RECREATION stars as a do-gooder high school valedictorian who wants to, shall we say, broaden her horizons before heading off to college. She makes an actual checklist of "activites" in which she wants to participate. This is a pretty adorable spin on the usual male-centered teen sex romp, and it's got a great cast including Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Clark Gregg and Connie Britton.

This one's for the kids. It's basically like CARS but, well, you get the idea.

As for the rest, make sure you catch the following. This past summer's action comedy 2 GUNS (@ BLU SALE), starring Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington. F.W. Murnau's silent classic NOSFERATU (@ BLU SALE) in a glorious restoration. CRYSTAL FAIRY & THE MAGICAL CACTUS (@ BLU SALE), a hallucinatory comedy with Michael Cera. Sleeper hit WE'RE THE MILLERS (@ BLU SALE) with Jason Sudekis and Jennifer Aniston. New Blu-rays of Bill Lustig's MANIAC COP 2 (@ BLU SALE) and 3 (@ BLU SALE). There's also the third and most recent season of HBO's fantastic and totally underseen series TREME (@ SALE). And don't forget Yasujiro Ozu's masterpiece TOKYO STORY (@ BLU SALE), a gorgeous Blu-ray release from the always wonderful Criterion Collection.

And to top it all off, Shout! Factory continues their hot streak with a new collector's edition Blu-ray of John Carpenter's siege classic ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 (@ BLU SALE) and a long overdue Blu-ray of 80's cult hit NIGHT OF THE COMET (@ BLU SALE). Both come packed with extras!
