CLOUD ATLAS— Andy and Lana Wachowski (The Matrix) and Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run) take David Mitchell’s sprawling novel and turn it into what our colleague Kevin Clarke calls in City Arts, "[an] ambitious, genre-hopping epic.” The ensemble cast that includes Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Ben Whishaw, Hugh Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, and Doona Bae, play multiple parts in a collection of stories which “explore themes of love and connectivity" and "show a refreshing emotional openness and lack of cynicism.”  BLU  @  SALE

BEWARE OF MR. BAKER—A smashing (sometimes literally) documentary on infamous Cream and Blind Faith drummer Ginger Baker, with insights by Carlos Santana, Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, and the man himself.  @

DEXTER: SEASON 7—With his big secret not so much a secret anymore, Dexter continues his serial-killing lifestyle and struggles with his thirst for blood and vengeance.  BLU

A GLIMPSE INSIDE THE MIND OF CHARLES SWAN III--A comedy written and directed by Roman Coppola starring Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Aubrey Plaza, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead? Yep, we’re in. Wait, Charlie Sheen is the star of this? Huh, well this could get interesting…  BLU  @

JUBAL and 3:10 TO YUMA—Criterion presents two from director Delmar Daves: First, Jubal, a melodramatic tale of jealously and betrayal amongst cattle starring Glenn Ford, Ernest Borgnine, Rod Steiger and Valerie French. Second, 3:10 To Yuma, the classic 1957 western thriller based on the Elmore Leonard story, starring Van Heflin and Glenn Ford. Click on the covers below to buy them from our online store.
