MAMA—Two young girls orphaned in a car crash in the woods are raised by a monstrous spirit. Years later they are found and placed with their father’s brother and his girlfriend. Soon they discover they are, as our colleague Bryan says in the May issue of City Arts, “stuck in the middle of a custody battle between their living relatives and their supernatural Mama.” It was produced by Guillermo Del Toro and stars the great Jessica Chastain.  BLU  @  SALE

JACK REACHERThe Usual Suspects’ writer / Oscar-winner Christopher McQuarrie adapts the novels by Lee Child into an kicking and punching spectacle starring Tom Cruise as the titular army cop-turned-private investigator tracking down a killer.
