The Scarecrow Video Podcast Episode 22: Central Cinema

In the latest Scarecrow Video podcast, Matt and I are joined by Jason Miller, programmer at Central Cinema, one of the only places in town where you can enjoy food, beer, and a movie all at the same time. He talks about what goes in to deciding what to play and what entertaining films are coming up in the future.

LISTEN TO THE PODCAST HERE.  The podcast does contain some mild language and is therefore may be NSFW.

You can also download & listen to our podcast on iTunes.  While there, please take a moment to rate and review the podcast.

If you've never been to Central Cinema before, we invite you to check it out on Monday, February 13 at 7pm when Matt presents an evening with BEVERLY HILLS COP II.

Matt also can't wait for the next HECKLEVISION film: TRUE LIES.  It plays Monday, February 27. Have your humorous texts ready...

And if you missed Thursday's DREAM DATE SING-A-LONG, here's the decidedly swoon-worthy "Glory of Love" video by Peter Cetera

Thanks so much to Jason for being a guest on the podcast!

The 20/20 Awards will be held at Central Cinema on Wednesday, February 22. Visit our special 20/20 Awards rental section for all the nominees.

The Academy Award nominees for Best Picture for 1991 were: BUGSY, JFK, THE PRINCE OF TIDES, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (the first animated film to be nominated for Best Picture), and eventual winner SILENCE OF THE LAMBS.

The Rose Theatre in Port Townsend site has all the information about their fundraising efforts.

It was Alan Arkin for LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE who won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar over Eddie Murphy's performance in DREAMGIRLS. Also nominated that year were Djimon Hounsou for BLOOD DIAMOND, Jackie Earle Haley for LITTLE CHILDREN, and Mark Wahlberg for THE DEPARTED.

Thanks to our Roosevelt neighbors DANTE'S for allowing us to record our podcast in their fine establishment (hence the air hockey noises in background).
