New Actor's Spotlight: Sylvie Testud & Whit Bissell

Every month (or so), Scarecrow picks two of our favorite actors and gather some of their definitive films in a special rental section. Our first Actor's Spotlight of 2012 shines on...

French actress Testud's first major role was in 1999's KARNIVAL, followed by crticially acclaimed performances in MURDEROUS MAIDS (LES BLESSURES ASSASSINES, 2000) and FEAR AND TREMBLING (2003). More recently, she starred in the Academy Award-winning LA VIE EN ROSE (2007) and THE ROUND-UP (2010).

Whitner Bissell began acting in the early 1940s and worked steadly for the next four decades. Among his hundreds of  film and TV credits are THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON (1954), THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN (1960), and THE TIME MACHINE (1978), along with episodes of GOMER PYLE, THE DUKES OF HAZZARD, MANNIX, and THE INCREDIBLE HULK.  Bissell died in March 1996.

You can see all the selected films in the Actor's Spotlight section, located to the right of the staircase just before the Second Take section.
