The Scarecrow Video Podcast Episode 20: Best of 2011

It's the last Scarecrow Video podcast of 2011!  Alex, Matt, and yours truly gathered at Aster Coffee in Ballard to chat about what we watched over the holidays and our picks for the best DVD/Blu releases of the year.

This podcast contains some mild profanity and therefore may not be suitable for work.

Among Matt's Best of 2011 picks is Abbas Kiarostami's CERTIFIED COPY, starring Juliette Binoche.

...and the shot-in-Portland mystery COLD WEATHER by Aaron Katz.

Alex and I both picked CONAN O'BRIEN CAN'T STOP...

Alex also picked the excellent anime SUMMER WARS...

....and I SAW THE DEVIL, a brutal revenge film by Kim Jee-Woon. Alex saw some surprising parallels to WALL-E...

While Alex filled us in on her recent Jude Law marathon and lamenting his characters' untimely demise in most of them, Twitter informed us it was JUDE LAW's BIRTHDAY!
