The Scarecrow Video Podcast Episode 18: Special Guest ZACHARY OBERZAN

You may recall back in Podcast Episode 12, Matt spoke with reverence about a DIY movie called FLOODING WITH LOVE FOR THE KID. In our latest episode, Matt gets the chance to talk its writer/director/star Zachary Oberzan. The film is a one-man adaptation of the novel First Blood (yeah, the one that was made into the first RAMBO movie) filmed entirely inside Zach's studio apartment with him playing all 26 parts. It's a fascinating conversation in which Zach shares his drive to complete the project and his committment to the story despite the minimal budget. He asks, "What's the difference between Sylvester Stallone pretending to fly a helicopter and me in my kitchen pretending to fly a helicopter?" You're probably going to laugh either way.

You'll get a chance to see this amazing film this week on Wednesday, November 30 at 7pm at Grand Illusion Cinema.

Matt spoke with Zach via Skype from somewhere on the European continent, where he's on tour with his new film/theater piece YOUR BROTHER. REMEMBER? Hopefully it will find its way to Seattle someday...

Much thanks to Brian Alter and all at Grand Illusion Cinema for helping us set up the interview!
