Here at Scarecrow we believe that movies are a lot like food: you should watch a good variety, get them from a local source, and are best enjoyed with friends. It's this same keeping-it-in-the-community spirit that drives this Saturday's COUCH FEST film festival. Film fans around town will be opening their homes up for a day of watching short films with varying themes. As their website says, "Ultimately, the hope is that you might interact, share and discover fellow lovers of film." Scarecrow's mission has always been to unite people with film, and we're glad that COUCH FEST strives to connect the cinematic community as well. So if you're game for spending a few hours hanging out on someone's couch and taking in some unique films (including the intriguing category "inappropriately awesome"), please visit their website for all the details. smallcouch
