Scarecrow Video with the Seattle Art Museum presents an evening with animators Mike Judge and Don Hertzfeldt and their touring festival 'THE ANIMATION SHOW'

Scarecrow Video with the Seattle Art Museum presents an evening with animators Mike Judge and Don Hertzfeldt and their touring festival 'THE ANIMATION SHOW on Thursday, Sept 25th at 7:30 PM.

Finally, there's an animation festival with the artists themselves at the helm! Kicking off in the fall of 2003 with its first North American tour, The Animation Show is a collection of the world's best animated short films, personally programmed by co-producers Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-Head, King of the Hill, Office Space) and Academy Award nominated animator Don Hertzfeldt.

Including films by animators Bill Plympton, Tomek Baginski, Ruairi Robinson, Koji Yamaura, and Richard Goleszowski from Aardman Animation. This year's line-up spans eight countries and features everything from forgotten classics to the very latest in computer animation, with a trilogy of brand new cartoons by Don produced exclusively for the show, rare and never-before-seen animation by Mike, six Academy Award nominees, and plenty of surprises. Local 911 animation instructor Wendy Jackson will introduce the program.

Advance tickets will be on sale at Scarecrow Video on Sept.

19th, $6.00/SAM members, $7.00/general admission. With only 300 seats available, the show will sell out quickly and this is the only night both animators will be presenting the show in Seattle.

Before the show - come in and rent some of their animated shorts from our animation room (so that you're ready to ask them all sorts of smart questions at the screening).
