The 2007 Northwest Asian American Film Festival starts Thursday!

The festival kicks off Thursday, January 25th with two films at the Northwest Film Forum. At 7pm, there's Eve and the Fire Horse, the story of two sisters and their family growing up in Vancouver in the 70s. The Stranger calls it "one of the most charming family films in recent memory." Check out their full review at http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/GetOut?film=36324. At 9:15pm, there's Journey From The Fall. It follows one family's fight for freedom in the wake of war-torn Vietnam, as a mother and son leave on a perilous journey to America while the father stays to fight for his beloved country. Director Ham Tran will be in attendance for the screening. That's just the beginning of four days of fine films. You can get all the details about the festival at www.nwaaff.org or in the hallowed halls of Myspace at www.myspace.com/nwaaff . And come in to the store and check out our special rental section, curated by the knowledgeable festival staff.
