A few reminders before we get to the second-to-last New Release list of the 2011: First, Scarecrow will close at 8pm Christmas Eve (Saturday, December 24) and will be CLOSED on Christmas Day. We’ll be back up & renting at 11am on Monday, December 26 for all your post-feast viewing needs. Second, we have great last-minute gifts like Scarecrow T-shirts (available in a variety of sizes and fashion colors) and Gift Certificates (good for rentals or purchases, available in any amount in-store or set amounts online). Third, if you need something to watch with the family, head to one of several holiday rental sections. If you’re already burnt out on Christmas specials, try the COMFORT & JOY, a collection of not necessarily holiday-related films that bring us comfort, joy, or a little bit of both. And now, here’s the list:
BLU = Also available for rent on Blu-ray

MIDNIGHT IN PARIS—Owen Wilson plays a screenwriter who wanders dreamily through the streets of Paris in Woody Allen’s charming romantic comedy. BLU @ SALE
WARRIOR—Everything you want in an emotional sports drama: Brooding athletes overcoming adversity, in this case estranged brothers Joel “Uncle Owen” Edgerton and Tom “Mumble Mask Bane” Hardy; a grizzled, troubled authority figure (their dad, Nick “I Might Get an Oscar Nod For This” Nolte), a high-stakes, all-or-nothing fight; and of course, lots of training montages. I really liked it, and even got teary watching the trailer again. BLU @
COLOMBIANA—She’s beautiful, she’s deadly, she’s out for revenge… BLU @
DOLPHIN TALE—If you need a film to de-Grinch your crustier relatives and that’s appropriate for the entire family, we direct you to this inspirational real-life story. BLU @
