Yikes, it's almost Halloween

I've been so focused on the fear of election season that I've completely neglected to prepare for the more traditional horror filled holiday. Luckily, there are a few things going on around town to get me in the proper spirit, such as the continuing series SON OF ALL MONSTERS ATTACK! at the Grand Illusion Cinema. This week they're showing Halloween 3: Season of the Witch and Asylum. There's even a cocktail fundraiser tonight (Friday) for those wishing to enhance their movie going experience while raising money for the GI. Sunday is the closing night of the Seattle Lesbian &Gay Film Festival with a screening of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark with the lady herself in attendance. And of course there's the three Halloween themed rental sections we have up now. Perhaps I'll check out a couple this evening, if only to give myself a rest from MSNBC and Huffington Post for a few hours.
