This Friday, October 12th, the
Seattle Art Museum hosts an evening of David Lynch appreciation. At 7pm there's the US premiere of the documentary
Lynch (One), an unprecedented immersion into Lynch's life and creative process filmed around the time he was making
Inland Empire. Director blackANDwhite will be in attendance to introduce the film and answer audience questions. At 9pm, there's a screening of
Inland Empire, starring the wonderful Laura Dern as an actress who takes on a challenging role in a cursed film and soon finds fiction creeping into her reality. Don't miss this opportunity to see
Inland Empire in a theater; giant rabbits and singing hookers always look better on a big screen.
Tickets for either the 7pm or 9pm shows are $10 for
SAM,
SIFF,
MOHAI and
Warren Report members and $12 for the general public. If you'd like to attend both shows, it's $15 for everyone. Tickets are available in person here at Scarecrow or by calling the SAM box office at (206) 654-3121.
