David Schmader does SHOWGIRLS

Wikipedia describes a DVD audio commentary track as follows: "Depending on the nature of the movie, and upon the person providing the spoken dialogue, it can add a wealth of informative, entertaining information about a movie of which most audience members would not be aware." Thursday, September 6th, 7:30pm at The Triple Door: The film is Paul Verhoeven's SHOWGIRLS and the person providing the spoken dialogue LIVE (none of that faceless, impersonal commentary!) is esteemed writer and performer Mr. David Schmader. His "part art-appreciation lecture, part sit-down comedy routine" is guaranteed to provide a wealth of hilarious insight on this most cringeworthy cinematic undertaking. Scarecrow hosted a screening with Mr. Schmader a few years back and can safely say that you may have seen Showgirls before, but you haven't really experienced it until you've heard Mr. Schmader's take on the infamous pool scene. Scarecrow Video highly recommends you attend this event. As an added bonus, The Triple Door is an excellent venue. Just watch out for the ginger martinis. They're pretty strong.
