The festival kicks off Thursday, January 25th with two films at the Northwest Film Forum. At 7pm, there's
Eve and the Fire Horse, the story of two sisters and their family growing up in Vancouver in the 70s.

At 9:15pm, there's
Journey From The Fall. It follows one family's fight for freedom in the wake of war-torn Vietnam, as a mother and son leave on a perilous journey to America while the father stays to fight for his beloved country. Director Ham Tran will be in attendance for the screening.
