SIFF! Meet director Nicolas Refn (Pusher Trilogy) at Scarecrow on Saturday 5/27 @ 1PM
We’re pleased to announce that Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn will be here at Scarecrow Video on Saturday (5.27) from 1pm to 2pm to meet people and answer your questions. He’s in town to present his acclaimed ‘Pusher’ Trilogy for the Seattle International Film Festival. Refn’s other work includes the films Fear-X and Bleeder.

Nicolas was over here at Scarecrow for a while on Saturday. A few minutes after showing up he was grabbing large VHS boxes from the shelves in the Psychotronic room in awe. Rarely do we hear a visitor say ‘I’ve never seen this VHS tape in person … I’ve only seen this is magazines!’ or ‘Wizard is my favorite video label!’. He turned out to be an avid collector of all things film – including 16mm and 35mm prints, laserdiscs and tapes (thousands …).
It looks like the Pusher trilogy will be coming back out via Magnolia Pictures sometime in the near future. So if you missed them at SIFF, you’ll still get a chance to check them out in a few months.
